How long does a brand identity take?

A brand identity takes about 2 to 3 weeks with me, from the first call to final files, and a brand with a website fits in 21 days in the 21-Day Brand & Website Launch.

What fits in 2 to 3 weeks

The time covers the mark, the type, the colour palette, the guidelines and the first set of assets. Each of my brand cases settles the same 3 decisions, the mark, the typeface and the palette, and everything else is built on them.

The steps, in order

  1. A free 20 minute call, where you leave with 3 fixes.
  2. A fixed proposal the same day, with the scope, timeline and price.
  3. Design, starting with the mark, then the type and colour.
  4. Delivery with notes, the final files and sources and how to use them.

The full walk through is in what happens in a brand identity project.

What speeds it up or slows it down

A clear brief and quick feedback keep a project inside 3 weeks. Slow replies, a new decision maker joining halfway or a change of name are what stretch it.

If you need a website too, the 21-Day Brand & Website Launch covers the brand and the site in 21 days.

A real example

The SyncGrid brand identity settles a mark of intersecting streams, Neue Montreal type and an orange and black palette, then carries them into stationery and brand applications. More brand work sits on my brand identity page.
